So, it looks like I’m pretty much sorted on the spuds front. I’m still trying to find somewhere that sells Kerrs Pink seeds in the Manchester area but apart from that I’m all set.
With the exception of my first earlies, which I bought at a garden centre where I was buying some ericaceous compost from the blueberries I’ve got – I bought all of them at Hulme Community Garden Centre… an absolutely wonderful place with great prices and friendly, helpful staff. Go there if you’re passing. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.
I’ll post a full list of the varieties I have when I get home later.
For now, have a quick peek at the pictures I took after laying them all out on my (79p from B&M) trays for a bit of chitting.
If anyone can tell me whether I should plant the ones with the stupidly long sprouts or rub them out and start again (being first earlies I feel it’s probably too late to re-chit) please put your advice in the comments box of this post… or join the really-rather-good Grapevine Forum and put your answer in this thread (my post is on page 6).
